I write this post thinking of one of my favorite pastors Jeff. Jeff was an inspiration at our little community church. For the record, I think community churches are where it’s at if you find yourself churching. Jeff was the kind of pastor who explained the bible from a historical viewpoint. “Take yourself back to the place and think of what it was like,” he’d say. I loved the perspective he would share to help us change the lenses from present-day to those of the people who lived back in the day. It has given me a perspective in my writing today.
I have never fully read the Bible. I’m not really interested in it as a “work” but I can tell you what I feel and have noticed: I don’t know how a benevolent god (the little “g” is intentional) could ever ask somebody to demonstrate their faith in a way that hurts someone else. How could that “god” sacrifice his only begotten son to pay for our sins, and how did that work out? Maybe that’s because it’s a lie. His “son” in the way that all humans are his son makes more sense to me. That wasn’t his son, that was a man who believed so strongly in his God, that he was willing to post up for his beliefs.
Rocks delivered again.
Here’s what I’ve noticed from the little I’ve read of the Bible. There are things in there that are super helpful, kind and loving. A cult will lure one in with all of those traits, then drop the hammer. I’d like to offer a different perspective and as with all my writing, I say take what resonates with you personally, but rather than dismissing the rest, I would ask you to at least consider it for a while.
We continually refuse to see the conditioning and resulting complacency that led us exactly where we are today in the church and the government.
We ARE sacrificing our children to the demons right here among us, and we are now helpless to stop it. We look the other way because our shame prevents us from wanting to see. Nothing is reported in the news all of which is owned by investment banking or in some cases, individuals like Bezos and Musk, and we’re okay with that.
I’m going to leave you with this: I personally believe we are going to see the fall of the church, the government and big money. Investment banking and the wealthy have taken us for all we are worth and more . College is for the wealthy and prison is for the poor.
What if our “leaders” are the embodiment of the same demons the bible warned us about?
The above comes from the below and the below comes from the above.
If Earth is in the middle between heaven and hell, is it a three-piece suit?
