Now that I’ve been battling the dark for a couple years, I have a much different feel for the series, Stranger Things. If you’ve read many of my posts, you can see I reference The Arts a lot. I think we get all of our looks from some consistent sources, like film, books, and music. For those who aren’t into any of those, there is always this trusty source: A quote from Hermetic Philosophy, “As within, so without, as above, so below, as the universe, so the soul.”
The premise of the series is there has been a crossover between the world we live in and the Upside Down. I’m going to stop here for a moment to say that it’s getting ridiculously easy to spot the messaging. In our world, if you are upside down, you have debt. I believe the concept of debt in our society is one of the biggest contributors to inviting the vampires in and allowing them to make a home here. When money can be made by the trillions because we chose debt there is a problem. The rich are feeding on the poor, and the vampires will only choose more…ever. Vampirism is not sustainable, yet we keep letting them drain us because we’ve been spoon-fed a dream. Here, we call it the American Dream: Home and car ownership, label wearing, the list goes on and on.
We refuse to learn, so we are hitting an inflection point because we’re not supposed to lose to evil…ever. I don’t pretend to know what happens that shakes us out of our delusion, but I bet it’s not pretty.
In the series, the upside down is a reflection of the right-side up, but oh so much uglier – again, “As within, so without, as above, so below, as the universe, so the soul.”
Where there is mid-life crisis of middle-age men who want to hook up with a pretty young thing, there is sexual depravity on the other side. The thing that wants you to take it a step further. You may not ever achieve it, but it makes the big money version of it a little more palatable. You know…the place where “boys will be boys” comes from.
I had a healer camped near me recently and I asked her about the left side of the body and she said she noticed that it feels like the development of the Divine Feminine in women, but felt like it was something opposite for men, but she just couldn’t put her finger on it. I told her I recently had a man camped next to me that had a lot on the ball in terms of understanding philosophy, but wouldn’t shut-up about how awesome he was for the first two days we sat together. He too has an injury on the left. I feel like he must have some development opportunities available for him as well. He actually said he was blessed with a wife who loves to hear about him and is in awe of these special qualities he has. What would one of these qualities be, you ask? Well, he’s a white man who is fluent in Spanish. I mean, I don’t know how much awe one woman can hold over the lifetime of a marriage, but I think…I hope, that’s not the thing that she has settled on.
I think I know why he was fishing alone.
