The most prevalent theme I acknowledge every day is from the Emerald Tablet: “That which is above is from that which is below, and that which is below is from that which is above. I much prefer more modern day interpretations of thoughts and ideas over a Book written thousands of years ago with multiple translations. Give me the arts, any day).
When we chose to come to this planet, I imagine there were a lot of people who probably didn’t understand our choices. People we left behind. Some wished us well. Some said “they’ll be sorry,” but mostly they just shrugged because they didn’t understand why we would strike out to become explorers in a new world. Think of how the Europeans felt when we came to America. What I find myself doing/experiencing has been a repeat of that spirit. The world I left, home, community and yes…even family, doesn’t understand why I’m doing what I’m doing. I didn’t realize I was closing one journey and beginning another.

My commitment going ahead has been to erase that which has held us back. The ties that bind us. Many times along the way I have designed and redesigned the world I want to live in – in my head and even on paper, I would erase the systems we give our power to (and their demons – both living and dead). These demons can’t go with us because I don’t want that taint in the new world I choose to live in.
Much like the people here in the states who are moving to be near their people (think of Californians, who want to wield guns, moving to Texas and those “other” Texans getting the hell out of Texas to go damn near anywhere else), I also believe many people who aren’t willing to fight for these meek-who-shall-inherit-the-earth types may find themselves elsewhere. The good news is that we don’t remember past lives, so we won’t know anyway. We’ll wake up tomorrow morning n another location and choose again the path towards growth or stagnation.

The biggest takeaways from this whole journey for me was understanding I needed to do some thing for the homeless, the children in general, and sex trafficking victims, This is not work I can do directly person to person “in skin” but I can fight it on the spiritual level and maintain my mental health…most days.
The reason I write this is to challenge the reader to be brave enough to say the thing rather than to stand by. At a minimum we can ALL spare a few minutes each day dedicated to this thought, can’t we? What I am the most offended by on behalf of the marginalized, are those who tell me they are only here to do light work. Until we are all truly one, we are all truly none. In the spirit of as above so below, the great American experiment has failed. Our planet is failing.
I need one more “spiritual being” to tell me the planet is ascending as we speak. The hell we are. What we need is for people to take a little responsibility for the lack of ascension we’re experiencing. Beware the privileged that stand on the sidelines doing nothing and justifying why.
As I’ve questioned before, what if this life includes the important high and low points we’ve experienced before? While this may sound incredibly bizarre, it’s all very tidy, neat, and symmetrical so it’s easy to understand. It just happens to be stuff most of us have never been exposed to. I gotta tell ya, this journey wasn’t on my last-third-of-life bingo card. What if I’m supposed to be here telling you what I’m experiencing whether it sounds crazy or not. We all have our own respective journey’s and somehow they magically overlap.
I watched Interstellar for the first time earlier this year, and have watched it several times since, as well as downloaded the soundtrack. One day this summer, I was fast forwarding through my downloaded music and realized there was a message in there. I went back and grabbed a screen recording as I scrolled through again. It didn’t make sense to me at the time as many things take some time to become clear to me. It means a great deal more to me today.
I believe the message here is clear. It takes an incredibly courageous soul to get up every day to say the things and and fight against the dark and FOR the people who cannot find the will or have the resources to do it on their own.
Those people, and their defenders, are the keepers for sure.
